Burying an Electric Dog Fence Wire in Fall
Burying an underground dog fence boundary wire can be tricky in fall. When the trees have dumped all their leaves, and left a thick covering on the ground, often a trencher will not bury the wire deep enough to get it under the leaves.
You have two options, either rake a path through the leaves and peg the dog fence wire to the ground using lawn staples. Over time as leave decompose they will create a layer of soil above the wire, burying it. Or you can rake a path through the leaves and then run your trencher (or manually bury) the boundary wire for you dog containment system. Either way, you will finish up by raking the leaves back over the path.
