I will be installing a fence about 700 to 800 feet in length. Is there any need to increase the wire guage from 20 to 18. Also I am containing a 200 lb Mastiff. Any systems in particular you recommend?

Admin – Hi Tom,
There is no need to increase the gauge of wire to do longer distances. 20 gauge works fine even for multi-acre properties even, as long as the transmitter is rated to do that distance. For a large dog like a Mastiff, I would opt for the PetSafe Large Dog System.
i have 2 rottweilers about a 100lbs which system do you recommend? i need the system to keep them from going under a physical fence

I would go with a PetSafe Stubborn. Sometime Rottweilers have very low sensitivity to the correction. The PetSafe Stubborn is the strongest system, you probably won’t need all that power, but it is good to have it in reserve if it turns out you need it.
Q. I live in Canada. do you ship there and if you do what is the delivery costs?

We do ship to Canada. The shipping cost is available using the shipping calculator when you add items to cart. Shipping for a system usually runs around $30 USD. Also note that Canadian Customs may levy an additional charge. This is very hit and miss, sometimes customers get charged and sometimes they do not.
we’re thinking about the iuc4100 for our 10 acres to keep our Border Collie contained since we’re near a highway. I can see how we could wire the perimeter, but do you have any suggestions to manage a long driveway that goes through to our shop in the back? We have traffic coming right through the yard. Sometimes we walk him down that driveway too – so I can’t see wiring along the driveway.

I’d recommend choosing the side with the home and creating a loop there, excluding the driveway. Otherwise, you’d have to include the driveway.
